Things here have been a little nutso here lately... I had all intentions of getting Christmas cards out this year (especially since I'm designing them now, I feel extra extra bad about it- doh!) but it was just not meant to be. Hubs has been in the hospital 3 times within the past week (super scary but all is ok now, SO grateful), my project/work/design pile is a mile high (a little stressed, but again, grateful and happy to have work on my plate!), and the overall hustle and bustle of trying to get things done for the Holidays has had me chugging Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes like they're going out of style (so much for giving up coffee again, but I guess I will just have to make that a New Year's resolution). Oh, and did I mention we didn't even put up a tree this year? And there may or may not still be a pumpkin on the front porch...
So 2012 should be here soon enough, and I am looking forward to new beginnings, new opportunities, and hopefully an even better year than last year. I'll be kicking the year off with the Atlanta Gift Show, meeting with current licensing clients and hopefully picking up some new ones while I'm there too. I'll also get to see some of the products that I designed for companies I met with at Surtex so that should be fun. It's always an awesome experience to see pieces that have been months in the making finally come to life... designing is truly what I love to do :)
And last but not least when the new year rolls around I'll have a BIG, HUGE, GIGANTOR, announcement to make! It's about a line that's been in the works for what seems like forever now and I'm dying to tell ya about it. Here's a hint: It's gonna be in one of my favorite craft stores of all time! I'm really gonna freak when I finally see it in real life as part of me still doesn't quite believe it's happening. Can't wait to share more with you guys next month!!!
So... for now, Merry Christmas, and I'll try to be back on the ol' blog for New Years!

My friend Dana is building a bus stop! She's raising the remaining funds for her project through kickstarter (a site where creatives can trade "rewards" for "pledges" towards their goal). Anyway, Dana is super talented and her bus stop is gonna be outta-control-awesome, so if you'd like to support this soon to be Athens treasure based on one of our cities most famous songs you can find more info here.
P.S.- Speaking of the B52s, they will be celebrating their 35th anniversary with a concert here in February!
