Snow Day 2010/Bloganistas 02

So as soon as I open my big mouth about wondering if we would get any snow this year, what do you know? Snow!  Threw on my favorite hat by Softspoken and Brian, the dogs, and I were out the door for our regular walk.  The dogs absolutely love the snow- especially Lelu the Husky mix.  They were wagging their tails and smiling the whole time- we practically had to drag them back inside!  Hope you guys are having a great week!

I have a great Hubs- check out the 2 tier cake he surprised me with for Valentine's Day!  Yes, we have been watching Cake Boss marathons lately so I think he was inspired... Luv that guy...

You Float My Boat

My very talented friend, Jennifer, had some of us girls over last week for a little painting party.   It was so much fun and I decided to make the ole' Hubs a Valentine card.  He loves boats so I thought this would be fitting... Hope he doesn't see this before Sunday (I don't think he reads my blog though).  Not sure what we are doing for Valentine's yet but he said to keep the day "free" so we shall see (but if he is reading right now, this Sunday better be freakin' awesome! Totally kidding)...  You guys have any fun plans for this weekend?

Oh, and meant to tell y'all that the Owl City show last weekend was great!  Pretty much what I expected- completely different from any show I had been to before (no guitars, lots of keyboard) but a really good time nonetheless!  It's cool to see someone who was just sitting around in his parents basement not too long ago making music for fun and now is on tour across the country doing what he loves- very inspiring!

In the spirit of all the snowy weather the US is having right now I thought I would share one of my favorite pics from last year's snow day in Georgia.  We don't get "real" snow here too often so it was kind of crazy-  little Buster and the rest of the pups had a blast!  Wonder if we will have any days like that this year???

Bloganistas 01

Hey Guys!  Just joined a new flickr group, the Bloganistas.  I think fashion and people watching is fun, so it's kind of like those two things wrapped into one.  I'm not sure how long I will be posting these pics for, but thought adding new post topics to the ole' blog would be nice to mix things up a bit.  This is my new cute dress I got at American Eagle yesterday.  I know that A.E. is probably meant for tweens/teens (especially since the sales girl called me "Ma'am" a couple times and made me feel way too old to be in there) but I think their dresses are super cute.

Oh, and that is my newly painted accent wall in the living room!  At first the Hubs said he felt like he was at a Jimmy Buffett concert, but now he really likes it.  Which, don't get me wrong, Buffett is great to listen to in the Summertime, but I don't want my house looking all Margaritaville-ish.  I want it to look more like the rooms on House of Turquoise (awesome site, huh?!).  Anyway, the flowers aren't painted on the walls either- that's just a little Photoshopin', but once I finish up the rest of the room I promise to share more pics...
